Our Society operates an Education Centre and Salmon Hatchery.   It is run by a group of dedicated volunteers working to preserve and enhance fish and wildlife habitats and promote environmental awareness and education to the public.

Come by the hatchery between 9:30-11:30am on Saturdays for an informal tour.                                   We are located at 3636 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam.

Tour Guide Orientation - Saturday September 23rd 9:30-11:30am

 Members of the public have a special invitation to come attend a tour guide orientation . This is a great opportunity to see what's involved in our programs and learn how you might assist in educational tours. No experience necessary! A great way to become involved in your community and learn more about your natural environment.

Volunteers pick the days and times they are available to help out with:

  1.  Classes and tour training (as guide or assistant)
  2.   Event planning (Open House and Salmon Festival)
  3. Day to day hatchery operations

NEXT MEETING:   Wednesday, October 4th,  7:15 pm

Meetings are the 1st Wednesday of each month at the  Hyde Creek Education Centre & Hatchery,  3636 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam.    Meetings are open to the public. Come in to learn more, tour our facility and meet the members.
