Salmon Update !

Hyde Creek Watershed Society is dealing with an ineffective water supply from our exisiting well, which is our primary water supply to the hatchery during some dry Summer months, and times of pollution to Hyde Creek. We are drilling a new well.  Refer to the 'Current Events' link for more information on how you may be able to help your local hatchery work through this ongoing issue.

The Hyde Creek Watershed Society meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Hyde Creek Education Centre and Hatchery, 3636 Coast Meridian Rd., Port Coquitlam at 7:15 p.m.

Come join us!

Next meeting: June 6, 2012

"Long before the environmental stress on a river becomes obvious to most of us, it shows up in the fish. They are canaries in a mine , but canaries that cannot sing. We must pay attention to what the fish are telling us, and to the whispering voices of our rivers, for they are speaking about our futures."-- Mark Hume, The Run of the River
